Dorothy Reid

Dorothy Marie Reid was born to Elmer and Melba (Webster) Sorenson on 3 December 1933 in Dillon, Montana. She spent her entire life in Beaverhead County. She was a proud graduate of Beaverhead County High School. Dorothy passed away on 4 June 2026 at her home surrounded by loving family.
She married Harold Reid and they created a family of 4 boys. They were together for 21 years and divorced. She was a very loving mother who worked hard to support and raise her 4 boys and grandsons. She was a very hard worker from a young age and worked for 20 years at Barrett Minerals before retiring.
Taking care of her home and yard were very important to her but the most important thing to her was taking care of and watching over her boys.
As the Lord called her home to be with Him and her family, they were all rejoicing to be able to welcome her home and to once again feel her love as their mother and grandmother and celebrate the hard worker that they knew she was.
She is missed, loved, and respected by many. Dorothy is now the angel she deserves to be.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters Nancy Ann, Carol Rose, brother Donald, sons Danny Tom, and Clifford Reid, grandson Andy Higgins, and best friend Del Tucker.
She is survived by son Douglas Reid, grandson Zack Reid, brother Lynn (Louise) Sorenson.
As per Dorothy’s request there will be no services.
Arrangements are under the care of Affordable Funeral and Cremation Services.
